Christmas Season Disasters Tend to be Worse Because of People’s Carefree Attitude on that Particular Time

People tend to have that carefree attitude during Christmas. Who isn’t really excited about the Christmas bonus and 13th-month pay? Who isn’t excited about the gifts and the celebration? In the case of the Philippines, it’s the longest Christmas in the world. I really hate the toxic positivity associated with Christmas as well. “Only good vibes because it’s Christmas!” tends to be the motto of toxic positive people. People get careless during Christmas never mind that the 13th-month pay and Christmas bonus are open invitations to robbers. People tend not to redeem their time by budgeting and spending before the peak of December. Unsurprisingly, some people do their Christmas shopping on December 24 when they could’ve done it on December 1 or November. They could’ve started planning during the -ber months. Instead, that carefree attitude and expecting “Christmas miracles” can help aggravate disasters on Christmas more than any time of the year.

The Importance of the Housewife in the God-Ordained Family

After doing a study on the kings of Israel and Judah (not yet done and I believe I’m going to need to dig deeper), I recalled one of the famous topics on feminism would raise several dangerous women. These dangerous women in feminism can be Delilah, Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal (and Ahab is often looked to as a weak-willed husband, and my favorite example of rotten feminists, Athaliah the daughter of Ahab and Jezebel. In the feminist culture, they would look down on the role of the housewife. Some men even say housewives are just parasites, that money comes first (and then they wonder why the children are so misbehaved), and that women should also work as well.

When Parents Lie About FICTIONAL Monsters Being Real to Discipline Their Children

It’s almost Halloween and I forgot to write what I call a “mandatory Halloween post”. It’s so easy to get distracted by church history subjects that I forgot to write this. I intended to write this one since I grew up in a superstitious household. Rather than tell the truth, we as children were told not just about Santa Claus (and I was a fervent believer back then) but also about stuff like the Aswang or other fictional monsters. It was not just the housemaids (who usually came from the province) who were guilty but also the parents themselves. The parents tend to say, “Oh but it’s just a little white lie!” Please, all lies are black and that’s a result of believing in salvation by works. James 2:10-11 says that if somebody tries to keep the whole law yet offends at one point, is guilty of all. A shame really that some psychological websites like Very Well Family even try to justify the practice!

Paul’s Advice on How to Deal with a MARITES

Photo by Anna Shvets on Pexels.com

As I was opening my Tecarta Bible today, the verse of the day hit at 1 Timothy 4:7. Since I tend to read from the KJV even after leaving the KJV Only movement, the verse was rendered as:

But refuse profane and old wives’ fables and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

Typical Chinese Family Values vs. Biblical Family Values

The Chinese New Year is just around the corner. I feel like writing about traditional Chinese family values vs. biblical family values. A lot of wrong family values can stem from wrong beliefs. What you believe can affect the way you live. I was grown in a traditional ethnic Chinese family. There’s a lot of dysfunctionality that I’ve noticed aside from the blatant triple religion. Now, I feel it’s time to talk about Christianity and why it can’t agree with typical Chinese parenting.

There’s NO Room for Santa Claus in Proverbs 22:6 Parenting

Today is the traditional Feast Day of St. Nicholas (especially for Catholics). Many tend to call Nicholas of Myra “Santa Claus”. That’s why I decided to write this today becaue of that. I pray to God that this article will continue to offend those politically correct parents who think lying about Santa Claus is just harmless fun. How does the Bible tell us to parent our children? Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up the child the way he should go, when he is old, he will not depart from it.” So where does Santa Claus parenting fit in that one? There’s no place for Santa Claus parenting for this reason. Santa Claus is only meant to be believed in when you are a child but the Lord Jesus is meant to be believed in from childhood to the grave.

When the Sin of Unequal Yokes Becomes Inevitable

It’s already been the strict commandment of God to be never unequally yoked. It’s annoying how often told that Catholics and Evangelicals are just the same never mind the crucial differences such as salvation. There are times I felt Catholics are brethren in one second and not my brethren in another second in my younger years. I had to get a lot of chastising. Ironically, reading Chick Publications (which I no longer did) didn’t stop me from pursuing unbelieving women (then making u-turns). I wouldn’t say that these unbelieving women were like Delilah, Jezebel, and Athaliah (the wicked daughter of Ahab and Jezebel)–women who are obviously wicked as they can get. Athaliah was a blatant Baal worshiper and may have defiled Yahweh’s temple while Jehoram was king of the Southern Kingdom of Judah. Maybe, that’s why only Ahaziah remained while his older brothers were all massacred. They might be humanly-speaking, good people, like Ruth and Orphah. Ruth was a Moabite idolatress who came into knowledge from the worship of Chemosh to the worship of Yahweh.
