Moloch’s Worship Lives On in the Abortion Industry

I decided to do some backtracking on Leviticus. Leviticus 20:1-5 in the moral law tells the following about the sin of human sacrifice:

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Say to the people of Israel, Any one of the people of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. I myself will set my face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given one of his children to Molech, to make my sanctuary unclean and to profane my holy name. And if the people of the land do at all close their eyes to that man when he gives one of his children to Molech, and do not put him to death, then I will set my face against that man and against his clan and will cut them off from among their people, him and all who follow him in whoring after Molech. The Levitical Priesthood as a Foreshadowing of the New Testament

Writing about the Levitical priesthood is not an easy subject. Reading Leviticus can be a chore especially with all the temple ceremonies that will not be applied today. Today, we don’t celebrate the feast days of Leviticus. Meanwhile, the Feast of Booths or the Feast of Tabernacles will be reinstated but only during the Millennial Kingdom (Zechariah 14, 17). God ordains a priestly tribe which is the Tribe of Levi. Only the sons of Aaron were to become the priesthood of the Old Testament. Aaron was the first high priest and he was succeeded by Eleazar.

God’s Delay May Sometimes Be to Destroy Any Evil Already Ripe for Judgment

Numbers 32:13 talks about the LORD’s wrath and His delay. There were the Gadites and the Reubenites who wanted to stay on the other side. They wanted to remain comfortable with their other side. Moses gave the warning to the young generation about the death of the older generation. The words of Moses was to give a warning to the younger generation about the wrongful decisions of the older generation.

Beware the Balaam, the False Prophet for Profit

The very story of Balaam can be found in Numbers 24-26. It would be interesting to know that his name also appears in the New Testament in 2 Peter 2:15, Jude 11, and Revelation 2:14. They speak of the way of Balaam (greed-driven profit), the error of Balaam, and the teachings of Balaam who taught Balak to put a stumbling block to the children of Israel. This evil man was a so-called prophet who had been warned of God more than once but chose to walk in error.

Moses and the Bronze Serpent

I’m amazed at the loyalty of Moses to God. Previously, he was disbarred with Aaron from entering the Promised Land due to an act of disbelief. Now, he’s still serving God even if he knew he wasn’t to enter the Promised Land either. Numbers 21:4-9 tells us of the incident when the people were complaining yet again. I’m amazed at how hardheaded they are–God already sent many punishments yet they never learn. This really shows no amount of miracles can soften a hardened heart unless God intervenes in the life of that person.

When Poor Old Moses and Poor Old Aaron Just Had Enough

Moses was a man who was meek and didn’t easily react. Miriam taunted him and he didn’t strike back. Moses could’ve called for the genocide of Korah and his men but chose to let God handle the situation. Now, Moses simply had enough. He was fed up with the rebelliousness of the people. Moses had many times pleaded with God for mercy for a stiff-necked people. I was wondering if poor Moses was asking, “Is it worth it?” in regards to his peas for mercy for the people.

The Rebellion of Korah and God’s Judgment on False Teachers Pretending to be Men of God

Numbers 13-14 presents a case of rebellion against Joshua and Caleb. 10 wicked spies were destroyed by a plague and presumably were degenerate people. Now, Numbers 16 presents another rebellion namely that of Korah. Korah was from the Tribe of Levi. Along with him were two from the tribe of Reuben–Dathan and Abiram. Why this rebellion took so long to manifest we are not told why. But we see that it manifested some time later after several incidents such as the Golden Calf or the 10 spies that lied.
