Exposing and Purging Independent Baptist Pulpits of Immoral Pastors

It’s really a very sad thing when certain Fundamental Baptist churches have fallen into more or less the same level of immorality as the Vatican. It’s very easy to talk about the Vatican’s well-documented immoralities and it’s easy to overlook Baptist pastors who are also very immoral. If they’re supposed to be fundamentalist–they should be sticking to the fundamentals of the Bible. Since many of them are KJV only, I will be posting verses from the KJV. Ironic that these guys don’t even know that the KJV is a Calvinist Puritan translation!

The requirements for the pastor are as follows:

1 Timothy 3:1-7

This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. (KJV)

Unfortunately, the IFB scandals reveal pastors who aren’t truly men of God. I used to dismiss charges against the late Jack Frasure Hyles of First Baptist Church in Hammond, the late Bob Gray of Trinity of Baptist Church, and the late Alberto Romero Rivera (who was never a former Jesuit priest) as just all made up by the Jesuits in a grand conspiracy. Unfortunately, the crimes were well-documented such as how the Hyles movement is characterized by one scandal after the other. Are these men truly men of God? They have given Independent Baptists a bad name. David W. Cloud, an Independent Baptist pastor, has documented the wickedness of Hyles. I once dismissed Cloud being “misinformed by the Jesuits or Jesuit coadjutors”. That’s really the consequence of reading Chick Publications, right? Chick Publications also has a lot to answer for especially with endorsing Rivera’s fraudulent testimony and making missions to Catholics and Muslims even harder because of their offensive approach.

What was so hypocritical, for example, was how Hyles did one thing and said another. Hyles was made a hero like Rivera was. Hyles preached against adultery and fornication while having a decade-long affair. Rivera talked about the immorality of Rome while he was a habitually adulterous prick. What shocked me was that the allegations against Hyles weren’t allegations–they were real. It wasn’t Jesuit-controlled propaganda but a well-documented truth. Rivera’s arrest warrant was valid too. Rivera also set himself up as a fundamental Baptist minister at some point in his fraudulent career–that’s why he’s also mentioned here.

Hyles died but the problem goes on. I also remembered reading Jesus-is-Savior so habitually because of its emotional appeal. The same goes for Chick Publications which has been, unfortunately, guilty of sharing fraudulent testimonies presumably because they sold like hotcakes. Besides, the writer of Jesus-is-Savior, David J. Stewart, was also confirmed to be a sex pervert. I guess that’s why the Harvest Baptist Church in Guam ostracized him–they probably knew all the perversions of the Hyles-Anderson College group. Stewart is out of jail but he’s still up to his nonsense such as his anti-vaxxer stance as well as other conspiracy theories he still upholds. If that’s so then the Harvest Baptist Church had every duty to ostracize him. I felt he was wrongfully accused until the cat’s truly out of the bag–something I had a hard time believing actually happened!

There are obvious false teachers to avoid. A Catholic priest, a Pentecostal pastor, and a Seventh-Day Adventist pastor are obvious ones. Meanwhile, these immoral Baptist pastors are harder to avoid because they tend to preach what needs to be preached. Hyles preached against adultery while he had an affair with a married woman, his deacon’s wife. Hyles has many good books and quotes. However, Hyles was also living a life of hypocrisy. The trend followed from him down to all who succeeded in his legacy. Fame, finances, and females proved to be the downfall of Hyles and those pastors who followed after him. These scandals have brought shame to the name of Christ. That’s why these false teachers must be exposed or named whenever possible to mark and avoid them (Romans 16:17-18)!
