The Myth of 30,000 (or More) Protestant Denominations Refuted by the National Catholic Register

The word Protestant is often misapplied even to cults that blatantly can’t agree with the reformers. Once again, it was Rome that called the Protestants, Protestants. The reformers never called themselves reformers or Protestants. All they wanted was to be biblical. I would like to address the myth of 33,000 denominations which is actually refuted by the National Catholic Register. It’s interesting to see how Catholic fake defenders are often refuted by official Catholic faith defenders. That’s why I prefer to refute answers from Catholic Answers and Aleteia because both are scholarly sites, unlike The Splendor of the Church blog.

I Have No Reason to Support Racist Jews

I may condemn the Hamas attacks in Israel. However, I should never give any special treatment to unsaved Jews who are involved in hate crimes. Again, this isn’t to deny that Jews haven’t been victims of hate crimes such as the Holocaust. Denial of the Holocaust should be a very horrid thing to do. However, unsaved Jews have the capacity to become what they hate as shown in this video. The Jews are hating the Arabs for simply being Arabs.

Solus Christus vs. Church Membership Salvation

As the Reformation series continues, I feel like writing about a lot of Reformation church history. Back when I was in Cebu Bible Baptist Church, pastors did mention the names of the reformers in several sermons. At Living Word I.T. Park, a series called the Five Solas of the Reformation was launched. The recent topic by Pastor Laurence Po Chua is called Solus Christus. Thankfully, Pastor Laurence was able to preach while he may still not be fully recovered from a sore throat. I decided to do a review on Solus Christus vs. church membership salvation. This is a very important topic because there are many cults today, not just Roman Catholicism, that teach church membership salvation.

The Dominican Monk, Thomas Aquinas’ Significance

This Reformation month, I’m going to give my views as a Reformed Baptist on what it means to be born again. The term Protestant was only an insult given to those who protested. The Church never apostatized. Instead, the Church protested against the false church of Rome. The true Church was in a dark spot for some time during the Dark Ages. It was never apostatized. It was forced into hiding for some time yet not exactly into hiding. Before the Reformation, there were already martyrs like Girolamo Savonarola and Jan Hus. One of the mentioned people is Thomas Aquinas. Ligonier Ministries does acknowledge Aquinas’ contributions. The late Robert Charles Sproul Sr. did mention his logical system in the book Defending the Faith.

Tomas de Torquemada was an UNSAVED Jew

One of the most notorious figures centuries before the Reformation was Tomas de Torquemada. You may find it surprising that some of the worst figures were Jews. Not so much by me. It wasn’t shocking to learn that Karl Marx was a Jew. Maybe, that’s why Adolf Hitler also unfairly hated all Jews since Communism was a direct opponent of Nazism. It’s a sad fact that as many Jews still reject the true Messiah, some of them have converted to pseudo-Christianity. Torquemada was there before the foundation of the Jesuit Order and the Protestant Reformation.

The Gaza Hospital Attack Was from Palestine?

I found this video on YouTube and it’s rather interesting. What a sad thing that innocent Palestinians (many unsaved and are sadly in Hell now) got hit by it. I was wondering if Israel too has some blame since that country isn’t so innocent. However, an interesting is the possible leaked Hamas operative conversation in this video. If it’s true that it’s a failed missile operation then I must admit that when one reaps what they sow–innocent people also suffer along!

Why I Believe Paul Also Wrote Hebrews Before His Death

The apostle Paul’s life was recorded. Paul wrote a letter to Timothy finally bidding farewell as he was about to be martyred. Old and at the end of his life, I do believe that Paul probably wrote Hebrews. Being a Jewish Christian meant to be hated by one’s own people and the Romans. Nero hated Christianity and also oppressed the Jews later on. The Jews were persecuting Christians. It was a rock and a hard place situation. I could imagine how it must be difficult to be a Christian. Maybe, some of the Jews eventually decided to assist Nero in handing over Jewish Christians. Eventually, Jerusalem was ransacked in 70 AD.
